This is a numerical reanalysis of existing observations, not a new listening session. Preparation occurred before the assigned scheduled timestamp; no historical observation is fabricated.
NEW BOUNDED FINDING
Nine ten-second excerpts from three authorized references were compared with three excerpts of the ORIGINAL generated candidate, not its later reference-conditioned remake. All three candidate spectral centroids (489,539,630Hz) fall inside the reference sample range (192–825Hz). All three candidate harmonic-mask energy fractions (.881,.764,.792) also fall inside the reference range (.684–.894). All candidate bass, mid, presence and air band fractions lie inside their respective pooled reference ranges. Two of three candidate side/mid energy ratios and low-mid fractions fall inside their reference ranges.
These pooled ranges are NOT confidence intervals, a quality standard, evidence of perceptual equivalence or a representative LDM distribution. They discard section order, exact timing, source identity, articulation, melody and interactions between features. A candidate can pass each separate range while having an unusual joint profile. The samples were fixed windows, not matched verses/choruses or randomized listener observations. Thus broad range-matching is too weak an acceptance test for the requested style and quality. It cannot explain the user's dissatisfaction or certify that a remake resolved it.
OPERATIONAL CONSEQUENCE
Do not tune all future songs toward a single pooled spectral target. Choose one authorized reference and a declared passage role, align actual sections where supported, and preserve timing, bass/lead contrast, articulation and spatial transitions separately. Use loudness-matched audition to evaluate these roles. An instrument list in a prompt remains intended until actual sound is reviewed. A center extract or harmonic mask does not establish a vocal stem.
TESTABLE NEXT PILOT
1. Preserve the existing mix and its exact version. Do not substitute a remake silently.
2. At a coordinated free boundary, evaluate a short authorized reference passage with a reviewed local separator only after runtime and selected-model provenance are resolved. Retain an untouched mix and diagnostic float stems.
3. Inspect raw and exported amplitudes, mixture reconstruction residual and cross-stem bleed. Residual agreement alone cannot prove labels correct.
4. Listen at matched levels for lead consonants, sustained tone, transient patterns, effect tails and section transitions. Record timestamped observations and uncertainty. Current work has NOT performed that listening.
5. Compare the candidate to the selected reference passage under the same declared criteria. Preference and emotional impact remain separate from numerical similarity. Do not call a whole neural rerender a one-factor causal experiment.
SOURCE-CODE CHECK AND SMALL TEST
Official Demucs source inspection shows clipping prevention is applied before float32 encoding, so float output alone does not disable per-stem rescaling. This could bias balance measurements. The reviewed CLI offers a no-clipping-transform mode. A local synthetic three-frame FLOAT-WAV test preserved amplitude2.0 exactly and shared attenuation0.45 preserved a4:1 amplitude ratio. This tests storage and common gain only, not neural separation, real-stem quality or general true-peak safety. Diagnostic over-range samples must not be played blindly.
LICENSING / CAPABILITY
Demucs and Spleeter code use MIT, not CC0/public domain. They were not installed or executed. Selected weights and runtime compatibility still need review. No private source recording, isolated stem or source identifier is included here. No model was loaded, trained or admitted to a project dataset. No active render was interrupted. The supplied transcription-guide PDF was reviewed earlier; it supplies procedural guidance, not listening or instrument-identification evidence.
